Description 

Adult & Teen Challenge is a national leader in offering treatment programs to those battling addiction. Adult & Teen Challenge Northeastern Wisconsin is seeking a dynamic individual to fill our opening for Men’s Direct Care Staff.

Purpose: To supervise clients, to ensure their safety & well-being, and assist them in making choices that are in their long-term best interests. 

Essential duties and responsibilities

Client Supervision:
Lead and supervise clients in the year-long, faith-based residential program, overseeing all duties and activities during the work shift.

Client Transportation:
Maintain a valid driver’s license for driving Adult & Teen Challenge Northeastern Wisconsin’s vehicles. Transport clients to all program functions. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

One year of sobriety from all chemicals to alcohol (including medical marijuana). 
An ability to relate to and mentor people with life-controlling problems.
Strong leadership skills (one-on-one and group situations).
Ability to remain on task and follow through on multiple concurrent assignments with frequent interruptions.
Ability to successfully complete background check process.
Possession of a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to be insured under the organization’s vehicle insurance carrier.
Must possess a WI state driver’s license or be willing to transfer out of state license to a WI state driver’s license. 

Physical demands:
Ability to stand for the majority of an 8-hour shift.
Ability to climb up and down one flight of stairs multiple times during a regular shift.
Ability to walk during most of a regular shift.
Ability to remain seated for most of a regular shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50 lbs.
