Vaushawn assumed the role of the Executive Director of Adult & Teen Challenge Northeastern Wisconsin in the fall of 2020. Vaushawn established his reputation as a noteworthy leader in Minnesota, serving men in recovery and those affected by crime, incarceration, and addictive lifestyles. Vaushawn began his career in the field in 2011, working for Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge as the Program Manager over one of the men’s campuses in Minneapolis.
Vaushawn would move on to a partnership in 2018 with a national faith-based organization, Prison Fellowship. Prison Fellowship partners with prisons nationwide and provides an effective biblical-based academy program to help prisoners replace criminal thinking and behaviors to become law-abiding citizens. Vaushawn served as the Academy Program Director at the Minnesota Department of Corrections Lino Lakes Facility. As the Academy Director, Vashawn ensured the success of over 140 program participants annually to help reduce state recidivism rates and produce change agents. As a result, Vaushawn anticipates helping men in Northeast Wisconsin to obtain long-term sobriety and find a renewed purpose in life.
