Classification: Regular, Full Time, Hourly
Reports to: Program Director
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Hold shift change meetings at the beginning of each shift
- Responsible for communicating information to Direct Care Staff
- Stay current on all emails
- Responsible for completing facility log, shift issues and emailing them out to the respective recipients
- Responsible for going over appointment schedule and delegation of tasks to Direct Care Staff, Intern Staff, and appointment/resident drivers.
- Responsible to act in emergencies and make the necessary decisions
- Responsible to lead by example in the way we treat our residents and talk about other staff
- Conducts daily residents’ room and facility inspections to ensure residents’ rooms and facility are maintained in accordance with current program standards.
- Managing Work Study Programs including scheduling, overseeing residents’ participation and execution in areas such as the kitchen, woodshop, lawn care, and more.
Resident Care
- Responsible for completing resident Intake, discharge and transfer checklist
- Resident UA’s
- Resident behavioral documentation
- Assign resident house chores and work study positions
- Ensure residents have transportation to and from appointments including proper documentation
Resident Medication
- Ensure med room and medications are properly stored
- Order medication refills when needed
Resident Rooms
- Assign each new resident to a room and provide the Program Director with updated room charts.
- Ensure each room is adequately supplied with furniture, bedding, and other necessary items
- Update room assignments based upon census changes and enters changes in the resident database
- Ensure sufficient quantities of required items are available for distribution to new residents
Resident Discipline:
- Address resident behavior (i.e. absences, contraband, language, confrontations, etc.)
- Provide resident discipline – Yellow Level
- Report resident issues to the appropriate parties
Other
- Building safety and security
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Executive Director
- Maintain a clean driving record
Personnel Supervised:
- Direct Care Staff Assignments on all shifts
- Know the Direct Care Staff Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and oversee other Direct Care Staff's continued understanding and compliance with procedures and policies.
Minimum Qualifications
- Documented 2 years freedom from chemical use problems
- Exhibit strong commitment to the organization and dedicated to the spiritual restoration of hurting adults and troubled teens.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Maintain professional standards of conduct and appearance with co-workers and the public.
- Ability to manage people and processes to achieve organizational goals.
- Ability to remain on task while facing frequent interruptions.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to bring order to unstructured environments.
- Assertive individual with pleasant, cordial attitude when working with people.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record that will be accepted by this organization’s vehicle insurance carrier
