Volunteer Positions
Location: Adult & Teen Challenge of Northeastern Wisconsin
Commitment: Part-Time | Flexible | Project-Based
We are seeking a committed and organized Volunteer Event Coordinator to provide planning and administrative support for ATCNEW’s major fundraising and outreach events—including our Annual Gala, Christmas Concert, Fishing Tournament, and other community engagement efforts.
This volunteer will work closely with our Executive Director and Executive Assistant to support all aspects of event coordination. Responsibilities include assisting with event logistics, managing planning timelines, recruiting and organizing volunteers, liaising with vendors and community partners, and ensuring that each event is executed with excellence. Additional duties may involve preparing materials, helping with registration, setup, and providing post-event follow-up support.
- Assist in planning and logistics for major fundraising and outreach events, including the Annual Gala, Christmas Concert, Fishing Tournament, and other community events
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Executive Assistant to ensure all details are coordinated smoothly
- Manage event timelines, planning checklists, and communication flow
- Recruit, schedule, and oversee volunteers for event support
- Liaise with vendors, sponsors, and community partners
- Support event-day setup, registration, and coordination
- Assist with post-event follow-up and organization

Time Commitment: Flexible (prepare meals for lunch, dinner, and Saturday hot brunch)
*We also welcome Volunteer Groups between 2-4 individuals
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and serve meals on-site with ingredients and supplies fully provided.
- Follow a preplanned menu and kitchen guidelines.
- Create a warm, welcoming environment in the kitchen.
- Work alongside our program residents to help teach them life skills in meal preparation and cooking.

Location: On-Site at Adult & Teen Challenge Northeastern Wisconsin
Time Commitment: 2-8 hours Weekly (Based on needs or maintenance projects)
What You’ll Do:
We’re looking for male skilled, service-minded volunteers to assist with facility maintenance at our ATCNEW campus. This role helps ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our residents—while also investing in their personal growth.
Projects may include light plumbing, sheetrock patching, painting, carpentry, yardwork, lawnmower and snowblower upkeep, general repairs, and occasional supply runs. Volunteers are often paired with a small crew of program residents to assist with tasks, creating meaningful opportunities to model life skills, teach responsibility, and offer hands-on mentorship in a Christ-centered environment.
What We Provide:
We supply all necessary tools, equipment, and materials for assigned projects. You'll receive guidance and task support from staff, along with a flexible schedule that works with your availability.
What We’re Looking For:
Dependable volunteers with experience in one or more trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general maintenance. Most importantly, we're looking for individuals with a heart to serve in a faith-based environment willing to contribute their time and skills to support lasting life transformation with our program participants.
Volunteer Appointment Driver
Location: Adult & Teen Challenge Northeastern Wisconsin (Men’s Campus)
Commitment: 4-Hour Shifts during daytime business hours between 8am tm to 4:30p; Monday – Friday (based on availability and scheduling needs)
What You’ll Do:
We are seeking dedicated male volunteers to serve as Appointment Drivers for our men’s recovery program. In this role, you will help ensure residents attend important medical, dental, legal, and other approved appointments by providing safe and timely transportation in an assigned ATCNEW vehicle.
Each shift includes a pre-provided appointment summary, typically covering 1–4 scheduled appointments. Volunteers will drive residents to and from appointments, following ATCNEW’s safety and accountability protocols at all times.
During downtime or between appointments, volunteers are encouraged to spend time at our facility, where they can interact with residents in a supervised setting—offering encouragement, mentorship, and positive conversation as part of the broader recovery journey.
This is a meaningful way to serve both practically and relationally, helping meet a real need while also investing in lives being transformed.
What We Provide:
- Appointment driving training by our staff
- Used assigned ATCNEW vehicle for all appointment transportation
- Daily appointment schedule
- Support from staff for scheduling and coordination
- Training in transport policies and procedures
- Assigned ATCNEW appointment, cellphone for all appointment communications

- Male drivers for the men’s facility
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record (A minimum of 3 years of no major driver violations)
- A dependable, compassionate individual with a heart to serve
- Ability to commit to 4-hour shifts during business hours Monday-Friday
- Ability to represent the mission of ATCNEW with professionalism and care
Volunteer Recreation Driver – Men’s Program
Location: Adult & Teen Challenge Northeastern Wisconsin (Men’s Facility)
Commitment: Scheduled mornings (runs only) or afternoons (runs and walks)
What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a male volunteer to transport and supervise clients for scheduled off-site physical activities. Early Morning opportunities include runs only, while afternoons may include both runs and walks. You will drive an ATCNEW vehicle to pre-approved local parks, trails, or public areas, helping to ensure a safe and structured environment. In some cases, cleared client drivers may follow in a second ATCNEW vehicle. Your involvement plays a vital role in promoting health, accountability, and positive routines.
What We Provide:
- Use of an ATCNEW vehicle for outings
- A list of approved destinations
- Daily coordination and support from program staff
- Provided training of clear expectations and safety protocols
What We’re Looking For:
- A male volunteer with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Someone physically able to walk or run with clients, as needed
- Reliable, observant, and respectful of boundaries and program structure
- A heart to serve and support men in recovery through consistent, healthy engagement
Location: Adult & Teen Challenge Northeastern Wisconsin (Men’s Facility)
Commitment: Scheduled afternoons & evening’s Monday -Saturday
What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a male volunteer to help lead off-site recreational outings for program residents at Adult & Teen Challenge of Northeastern Wisconsin. These supervised outings promote physical health, healthy routines, and positive community engagement for men in recovery.
Volunteers will drive an ATCNEW vehicle to pre-approved local destinations—such as parks, trails, zoo, or fishing spots—while cleared residents follow in an ATCNEW vehicle. Upon arrival, the volunteer leads a structured outing and activity within clearly defined boundaries, provided during volunteer training to ensure safety and consistency.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the outdoors and wants to make a meaningful impact through movement, mentorship, and fellowship.
What We Provide:

- Training on safety, supervision, and program expectations

- A male volunteer with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and a reliable personal vehicle
- Someone with a passion for the outdoor activities
- Dependability, good judgment, and a heart to serve men in recovery
- Willingness to model healthy behavior and uphold our safety and accountability standards
Location: Adult & Teen Challenge Northeastern Wisconsin
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday | 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM
What You’ll Do:
As a Woodworking Volunteer Technician, you will mentor and guide men in recovery through hands-on training in our fully equipped woodshop. You’ll train residents to safely operate ATCNEW-provided power tools such as the table saw, planer, and drill press, while overseeing the creation of meaningful handcrafted items. Projects include crafting wooden crosses adorned with nails and barbed wire, cutting boards, and charcuterie boards, all based on ATCNEW-provided designs. This role not only teaches practical skills, but also instills a strong work ethic, the value of meeting deadlines, attention to detail, and the rewards of creativity—all within a faith-based, supportive environment.
What We Provide:
- A dedicated woodworking space with power tools, materials, and safety equipment
- Pre-designed project templates and staff coordination
- A chance to make a lasting impact on men’s recovery through skill-building and mentorship

What We’re Looking For:
- Volunteers with experience in woodworking, carpentry, or related trades
- A male mentor who can model consistency, patience, and craftsmanship
- Comfort and competence in using and teaching power tools
- A heart to serve, lead, and support men in recovery through practical skill development
- Willingness to follow ATCNEW safety policies and mentor approved clients
* The ATCNEW Woodshop welcomes donations of wood for projects and added power tools.
